What age are we in the spirit world?
by Bob Olson, BestPsychicDirectory.com, BestPsychicMediums.com & AfterlifeTV.com
The truth is that there is no age in the afterlife. Our souls are eternal beings. With that understanding, though, the “spirit” of a person often tells their loved ones through medium readings that they imagine themselves at an age when they felt the most vitality and joy during their human life. After the initial reintegration back into the afterlife, however, age is entirely insignificant. Since there is no time or distance in the afterlife, we don’t have an age. We, as souls, are eternal beings that never get older and never die. Age and death are physical concepts that souls only experience while having a physical experience. In fact, it’s one of the reasons having a human life is so intriguing to spirits—mortality changes everything.
Are children who died still children in the spirit world?
If you understood my answers to the last question, then it’s probably obvious to you now that the answer is both yes and no. Yes, the spirit of the child will always relate to its human life as a child. So it will always identify itself as the child it was when it shows itself to a psychic medium during a reading or in a dream visitation. Having never grown older than a child, there will always be that child within it. Being a child is the essence of that spirit’s human experience, so it remains as such for all eternity.
At the same time, the answer is also no. Once the child is in the spirit world again, it has the maturity of a soul, as that is what we all are. Therefore, the spirit who was a child during its last physical life remembers its true nature as the ageless, timeless spiritual being that it is, yet without ever losing the experience and memories of its human lifetime as a child.
